Marija Kandić (born in Užice, Serbia) studied with Prof. Ivan Koval at Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" Weimar/Germany and with Prof. Stefan Hussong at Hochschule für Musik Würzburg and graduated with diploma- and masterclass-degree. She took part in master-classes with Hugo Noth, Matti Rantanen, Margit Kern, Geir Draugsvoll etc.
She performed as soloist and chamber musician in numerous German cities, as well as in Italy, Finland, Canada, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia etc. Marija Kandić devotes herself to the contemporary music (also premieres) and performs in different chamber music formations. She performed as soloist multimedia concerts for accordion+electronics+video. The accordion duo with Terhi Sjöblom (Finland) – Duo Sjöblom-Kandić – performs contemporary works for two accordions (including premieres) as well as Baroque, pre-classical and classical music and hostes workshops. The duo won 1st Prize at the 47th International accordion competition 2010 in Klingenthal (Germany).
Marija Kandić performed as a guest in the orchestras – Staatskapelle Weimar, Semperoper Dresden, Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt. She participated as musician-actress in different theatre and film productions. She explores also the fields of jazz/improvisation/pop-avantgarde, e.g. CD productions with Pegelia Gold – „Polaris“ (2013) and “Echospheres” (2017). Marija Kandić is also accordion teacher in Germany since 2005.

Marija Kandić (geboren in Užice, Serbien) absolvierte ihr Studium bei Prof. Ivan Koval an der Hochschule für Musik „Franz Liszt" Weimar, sowie bei Prof. Stefan Hussong an der Hochschule für Musik Würzburg mit zwei Diplomen und dem Meisterklassen-Diplom. Sie besuchte Meisterkurse bei Hugo Noth, Matti Rantanen, Margit Kern, Geir Draugsvoll u.a.
Ihre Konzerttätigkeit als Solistin und Kammermusikerin führte sie in zahlreiche deutsche Städte, nach Italien, Finnland, Kanada, Rumänien, Slowenien, Serbien etc. Marija Kandić widmet sich der (Ur-)Aufführung zeitgenössischer Musik und wirkt in verschiedenen kammermusikalischen Besetzungen mit. Als Solistin spielte sie multimediale Konzerte für Akkordeon+Elektronik+Video. Im Duo mit der finnischen Akkordeonistin Terhi Sjöblom – Duo Sjöblom-Kandić – pflegt sie Aufführung der Barock-, vorklassischen und klassischen Musik für zwei Tasteninstrumente sowie zeitgenössisches Repertoire (u.a. mehrere Uraufführungen). Das Duo gewann 2010 den 1. Preis beim 47. Internationalen Akkordeonwettbewerb in Klingenthal.
Als Gast wirkte Marija Kandić in der Staatskapelle Weimar, der Semperoper Dresden, dem Orchester der Musikalischen Komödie Leipzig, den Thüringer Symphonikern Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, der Neuen Philharmonie Frankfurt mit. Als Musikerin und Darstellerin wirkt sie in Film- und (Tanz-)Theaterproduktionen mit. Marija Kandić ist auch im Bereich Jazz/Improvisation/Pop-Avantgarde tätig, u.a. CD-Produktionen mit Pegelia Gold - „Polaris“ (2013) und „Echospheres“ (2017). Seit 2005 ist Marija Kandić auch als Dozentin für Akkordeon in Deutschland tätig.
